تَبَّتْ
يَدَا
أَبِي
لَهَبٍ
وَتَبَّ
|
| Shakir: |
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. |
| Ayah: 2 |
|
| Arabic: |
مَا
أَغْنَى
عَنْهُ
مَالُهُ
وَمَا
كَسَبَ
|
| Shakir: |
His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. |
| Ayah: 3 |
|
| Arabic: |
سَيَصْلَى
نَارًا
ذَاتَ
لَهَبٍ
|
| Shakir: |
He shall soon burn in fire that flames, |
| Ayah: 4 |
|
| Arabic: |
وَامْرَأَتُهُ
حَمَّالَةَ
الْحَطَبِ
|
| Shakir: |
And his wife, the bearer of fuel, |
| Ayah: 5 |
|
| Arabic: |
فِي
جِيدِهَا
حَبْلٌ
مِّن
مَّسَدٍ
|
| Shakir: |
Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. |
