الْحَاقَّةُ

The Reality! |
Ayah: 2 |
|
Arabic: |
مَا
الْحَاقَّةُ
|
Pickthal: |
What is the Reality? |
Ayah: 3 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ
مَا
الْحَاقَّةُ
|
Pickthal: |
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is! |
Ayah: 4 |
|
Arabic: |
كَذَّبَتْ
ثَمُودُ
وَعَادٌ
بِالْقَارِعَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. |
Ayah: 5 |
|
Arabic: |
فَأَمَّا
ثَمُودُ
فَأُهْلِكُوا
بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning. |
Ayah: 6 |
|
Arabic: |
وَأَمَّا
عَادٌ
فَأُهْلِكُوا
بِرِيحٍ
صَرْصَرٍ
عَاتِيَةٍ
|
Pickthal: |
And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, |
Ayah: 7 |
|
Arabic: |
سَخَّرَهَا
عَلَيْهِمْ
سَبْعَ
لَيَالٍ
وَثَمَانِيَةَ
أَيَّامٍ
حُسُومًا
فَتَرَى
الْقَوْمَ
فِيهَا
صَرْعَى
كَأَنَّهُمْ
أَعْجَازُ
نَخْلٍ
خَاوِيَةٍ
|
Pickthal: |
Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they werehollow trunks of palm-trees. |
Ayah: 8 |

Arabic: |
فَهَلْ
تَرَى
لَهُم مِّن
بَاقِيَةٍ
|
Pickthal: |
Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them? |
Ayah: 9 |
|
Arabic: |
وَجَاء
فِرْعَوْنُ
وَمَن
قَبْلَهُ
وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ
بِالْخَاطِئَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, |
Ayah: 10 |
|
Arabic: |
فَعَصَوْا
رَسُولَ
رَبِّهِمْ
فَأَخَذَهُمْ
أَخْذَةً
رَّابِيَةً
|
Pickthal: |
And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip. |
Ayah: 11 |

Arabic: |
إِنَّا
لَمَّا
طَغَى
الْمَاء
حَمَلْنَاكُمْ
فِي
الْجَارِيَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the ship |
Ayah: 12 |
|
Arabic: |
لِنَجْعَلَهَا
لَكُمْ
تَذْكِرَةً
وَتَعِيَهَا
أُذُنٌ
وَاعِيَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. |
Ayah: 13 |
|
Arabic: |
فَإِذَا
نُفِخَ فِي
الصُّورِ
نَفْخَةٌ
وَاحِدَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
And when the trumpet shall sound one blast |
Ayah: 14 |
|
Arabic: |
وَحُمِلَتِ
الْأَرْضُ
وَالْجِبَالُ
فَدُكَّتَا
دَكَّةً
وَاحِدَةً
|
Pickthal: |
And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash, |
Ayah: 15 |
|
Arabic: |
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ
وَقَعَتِ
الْوَاقِعَةُ
|
Pickthal: |
Then, on that day will the Event befall. |
Ayah: 16 |
|
Arabic: |
وَانشَقَّتِ
السَّمَاء
فَهِيَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
وَاهِيَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. |
Ayah: 17 |
|
Arabic: |
وَالْمَلَكُ
عَلَى
أَرْجَائِهَا
وَيَحْمِلُ
عَرْشَ
رَبِّكَ
فَوْقَهُمْ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ثَمَانِيَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them. |
Ayah: 18 |
|
Arabic: |
يَوْمَئِذٍ
تُعْرَضُونَ
لَا
تَخْفَى
مِنكُمْ
خَافِيَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden. |
Ayah: 19 |
|
Arabic: |
فَأَمَّا
مَنْ
أُوتِيَ
كِتَابَهُ
بِيَمِينِهِ
فَيَقُولُ
هَاؤُمُ
اقْرَؤُوا
كِتَابِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! |
Ayah: 20 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنِّي
ظَنَنتُ
أَنِّي
مُلَاقٍ
حِسَابِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. |
Ayah: 21 |
|
Arabic: |
فَهُوَ
فِي
عِيشَةٍ
رَّاضِيَةٍ
|
Pickthal: |
Then he will be in blissful state |
Ayah: 22 |
|
Arabic: |
فِي
جَنَّةٍ
عَالِيَةٍ
|
Pickthal: |
In a high garden |
Ayah: 23 |
|
Arabic: |
قُطُوفُهَا
دَانِيَةٌ
|
Pickthal: |
Whereof the clusters are in easy reach. |
Ayah: 24 |
|
Arabic: |
كُلُوا
وَاشْرَبُوا
هَنِيئًا
بِمَا
أَسْلَفْتُمْ
فِي
الْأَيَّامِ
الْخَالِيَةِ
|
Pickthal: |
(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. |
Ayah: 25 |
|
Arabic: |
وَأَمَّا
مَنْ
أُوتِيَ
كِتَابَهُ
بِشِمَالِهِ
فَيَقُولُ
يَا
لَيْتَنِي
لَمْ أُوتَ
كِتَابِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book |
Ayah: 26 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَمْ
أَدْرِ مَا
حِسَابِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
And knew not what my reckoning! |
Ayah: 27 |
|
Arabic: |
يَا
لَيْتَهَا
كَانَتِ
الْقَاضِيَةَ
|
Pickthal: |
Oh, would that it had been death! |
Ayah: 28 |
|
Arabic: |
مَا
أَغْنَى
عَنِّي
مَالِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
My wealth hath not availed me, |
Ayah: 29 |
|
Arabic: |
هَلَكَ
عَنِّي
سُلْطَانِيهْ
|
Pickthal: |
My power hath gone from me. |
Ayah: 30 |
|
Arabic: |
خُذُوهُ
فَغُلُّوهُ
|
Pickthal: |
(It will be said): Take him and fetter him |
Ayah: 31 |
|
Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
الْجَحِيمَ
صَلُّوهُ
|
Pickthal: |
And then expose him to hell-fire |
Ayah: 32 |
|
Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
فِي
سِلْسِلَةٍ
ذَرْعُهَا
سَبْعُونَ
ذِرَاعًا
فَاسْلُكُوهُ
|
Pickthal: |
And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits. |
Ayah: 33 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ لَا
يُؤْمِنُ
بِاللَّهِ
الْعَظِيمِ
|
Pickthal: |
Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous, |
Ayah: 34 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَا
يَحُضُّ
عَلَى
طَعَامِ
الْمِسْكِينِ
|
Pickthal: |
And urged not on the feeding of the wretched. |
Ayah: 35 |
|
Arabic: |
فَلَيْسَ
لَهُ
الْيَوْمَ
هَاهُنَا
حَمِيمٌ
|
Pickthal: |
Therefor hath he no lover here this day, |
Ayah: 36 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَا
طَعَامٌ
إِلَّا
مِنْ
غِسْلِينٍ
|
Pickthal: |
Nor any food save filth |
Ayah: 37 |
|
Arabic: |
لَا
يَأْكُلُهُ
إِلَّا
الْخَاطِؤُونَ
|
Pickthal: |
Which none but sinners eat. |
Ayah: 38 |
|
Arabic: |
فَلَا
أُقْسِمُ
بِمَا
تُبْصِرُونَ
|
Pickthal: |
But nay! I swear by all that ye see |
Ayah: 39 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
لَا
تُبْصِرُونَ
|
Pickthal: |
And all that ye see not |
Ayah: 40 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّهُ
لَقَوْلُ
رَسُولٍ
كَرِيمٍ
|
Pickthal: |
That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. |
Ayah: 41 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
هُوَ
بِقَوْلِ
شَاعِرٍ
قَلِيلًا
مَا
تُؤْمِنُونَ
|
Pickthal: |
It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe! |
Ayah: 42 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَا
بِقَوْلِ
كَاهِنٍ
قَلِيلًا
مَا
تَذَكَّرُونَ
|
Pickthal: |
Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember! |
Ayah: 43 |
|
Arabic: |
تَنزِيلٌ
مِّن
رَّبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. |
Ayah: 44 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَوْ
تَقَوَّلَ
عَلَيْنَا
بَعْضَ
الْأَقَاوِيلِ
|
Pickthal: |
And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us, |
Ayah: 45 |
|
Arabic: |
لَأَخَذْنَا
مِنْهُ
بِالْيَمِينِ
|
Pickthal: |
We assuredly had taken him by the right hand |
Ayah: 46 |
|
Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
لَقَطَعْنَا
مِنْهُ
الْوَتِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
And then severed his life-artery, |
Ayah: 47 |
|
Arabic: |
فَمَا
مِنكُم
مِّنْ
أَحَدٍ
عَنْهُ
حَاجِزِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
And not one of you could have held Us off from him. |
Ayah: 48 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِنَّهُ
لَتَذْكِرَةٌ
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). |
Ayah: 49 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِنَّا
لَنَعْلَمُ
أَنَّ
مِنكُم
مُّكَذِّبِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). |
Ayah: 50 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِنَّهُ
لَحَسْرَةٌ
عَلَى
الْكَافِرِينَ
|
Pickthal: |
And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. |
Ayah: 51 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِنَّهُ
لَحَقُّ
الْيَقِينِ
|
Pickthal: |
And lo! it is absolute truth. |
Ayah: 52 |
|
Arabic: |
فَسَبِّحْ
بِاسْمِ
رَبِّكَ
الْعَظِيمِ
|
Pickthal: |
So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. |
