In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Ayah: 1 |

Arabic: |
وَيْلٌ
لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Woe to the defrauders, |
Ayah: 2 |
|
Arabic: |
الَّذِينَ
إِذَا
اكْتَالُواْ
عَلَى
النَّاسِ
يَسْتَوْفُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully, |
Ayah: 3 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِذَا
كَالُوهُمْ
أَو
وَّزَنُوهُمْ
يُخْسِرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient. |
Ayah: 4 |
|
Arabic: |
أَلَا
يَظُنُّ
أُولَئِكَ
أَنَّهُم
مَّبْعُوثُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Do not these think that they shall be raised again |
Ayah: 5 |
|
Arabic: |
لِيَوْمٍ
عَظِيمٍ
|
Shakir: |
For a mighty day, |
Ayah: 6 |
|
Arabic: |
يَوْمَ
يَقُومُ
النَّاسُ
لِرَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
|
Shakir: |
The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? |
Ayah: 7 |
|
Arabic: |
كَلَّا
إِنَّ
كِتَابَ
الفُجَّارِ
لَفِي
سِجِّينٍ
|
Shakir: |
Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin. |
Ayah: 8 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ
مَا
سِجِّينٌ
|
Shakir: |
And what will make you know what the Sijjin is? |
Ayah: 9 |
|
Arabic: |
كِتَابٌ
مَّرْقُومٌ
|
Shakir: |
It is a written book. |
Ayah: 10 |
|
Arabic: |
وَيْلٌ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Woe on that day to the rejecters, |
Ayah: 11 |
|
Arabic: |
الَّذِينَ
يُكَذِّبُونَ
بِيَوْمِ
الدِّينِ
|
Shakir: |
Who give the lie to the day of judgment. |
Ayah: 12 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
يُكَذِّبُ
بِهِ
إِلَّا
كُلُّ
مُعْتَدٍ
أَثِيمٍ
|
Shakir: |
And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one |
Ayah: 13 |
|
Arabic: |
إِذَا
تُتْلَى
عَلَيْهِ
آيَاتُنَا
قَالَ
أَسَاطِيرُ
الْأَوَّلِينَ
|
Shakir: |
When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore. |
Ayah: 14 |
|
Arabic: |
كَلَّا
بَلْ رَانَ
عَلَى
قُلُوبِهِم
مَّا
كَانُوا
يَكْسِبُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust . upon their hearts. |
Ayah: 15 |
|
Arabic: |
كَلَّا
إِنَّهُمْ
عَن
رَّبِّهِمْ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord. |
Ayah: 16 |
|
Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
إِنَّهُمْ
لَصَالُوا
الْجَحِيمِ
|
Shakir: |
Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire. |
Ayah: 17 |
|
Arabic: |
ثُمَّ
يُقَالُ
هَذَا
الَّذِي
كُنتُم
بِهِ
تُكَذِّبُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to. |
Ayah: 18 |
|
Arabic: |
كَلَّا
إِنَّ
كِتَابَ
الْأَبْرَارِ
لَفِي
عِلِّيِّينَ
|
Shakir: |
Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. |
Ayah: 19 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
أَدْرَاكَ
مَا
عِلِّيُّونَ
|
Shakir: |
And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? |
Ayah: 20 |
|
Arabic: |
كِتَابٌ
مَّرْقُومٌ
|
Shakir: |
It is a written book, |
Ayah: 21 |
|
Arabic: |
يَشْهَدُهُ
الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it. |
Ayah: 22 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّ
الْأَبْرَارَ
لَفِي
نَعِيمٍ
|
Shakir: |
Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss, |
Ayah: 23 |
|
Arabic: |
عَلَى
الْأَرَائِكِ
يَنظُرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
On thrones, they shall gaze; |
Ayah: 24 |
|
Arabic: |
تَعْرِفُ
فِي
وُجُوهِهِمْ
نَضْرَةَ
النَّعِيمِ
|
Shakir: |
You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss. |
Ayah: 25 |
|
Arabic: |
يُسْقَوْنَ
مِن
رَّحِيقٍ
مَّخْتُومٍ
|
Shakir: |
They are made to quaff of a pure drink that is sealed (to others). |
Ayah: 26 |
|
Arabic: |
خِتَامُهُ
مِسْكٌ
وَفِي
ذَلِكَ
فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ
الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
|
Shakir: |
The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire. |
Ayah: 27 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمِزَاجُهُ
مِن
تَسْنِيمٍ
|
Shakir: |
And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, |
Ayah: 28 |
|
Arabic: |
عَيْنًا
يَشْرَبُ
بِهَا
الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
|
Shakir: |
A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah). |
Ayah: 29 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
أَجْرَمُوا
كَانُواْ
مِنَ
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
يَضْحَكُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe. |
Ayah: 30 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِذَا
مَرُّواْ
بِهِمْ
يَتَغَامَزُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And when they passed by them, they winked at one another. |
Ayah: 31 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِذَا
انقَلَبُواْ
إِلَى
أَهْلِهِمُ
انقَلَبُواْ
فَكِهِينَ
|
Shakir: |
And when they returned to their own followers they returned exulting. |
Ayah: 32 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِذَا
رَأَوْهُمْ
قَالُوا
إِنَّ
هَؤُلَاء
لَضَالُّونَ
|
Shakir: |
And when they saw them, they said: Most surely these are in error; |
Ayah: 33 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
أُرْسِلُوا
عَلَيْهِمْ
حَافِظِينَ
|
Shakir: |
And they were not sent to be keepers over them. |
Ayah: 34 |
|
Arabic: |
فَالْيَوْمَ
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُواْ
مِنَ
الْكُفَّارِ
يَضْحَكُونَ
|
Shakir: |
So today those who believe shall laugh at the unbelievers; |
Ayah: 35 |
|
Arabic: |
عَلَى
الْأَرَائِكِ
يَنظُرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
On thrones, they will look. |
Ayah: 36 |
|
Arabic: |
هَلْ
ثُوِّبَ
الْكُفَّارُ
مَا
كَانُوا
يَفْعَلُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. |
