Ayah: 1 |

Arabic: |
وَالذَّارِيَاتِ
ذَرْوًا
|
Shakir: |
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, |
Ayah: 2 |
|
Arabic: |
فَالْحَامِلَاتِ
وِقْرًا
|
Shakir: |
Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). |
Ayah: 3 |
|
Arabic: |
فَالْجَارِيَاتِ
يُسْرًا
|
Shakir: |
Then those (ships) that glide easily, |
Ayah: 4 |
|
Arabic: |
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ
أَمْرًا
|
Shakir: |
Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; |
Ayah: 5 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّمَا
تُوعَدُونَ
لَصَادِقٌ
|
Shakir: |
What you are threatened with is most surely true, |
Ayah: 6 |
|
Arabic: |
وَإِنَّ
الدِّينَ
لَوَاقِعٌ
|
Shakir: |
And the judgment must most surely come about. |
Ayah: 7 |
|
Arabic: |
وَالسَّمَاء
ذَاتِ
الْحُبُكِ
|
Shakir: |
I swear by the heaven full of ways. |
Ayah: 8 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّكُمْ
لَفِي
قَوْلٍ
مُّخْتَلِفٍ
|
Shakir: |
Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, |
Ayah: 9 |
|
Arabic: |
يُؤْفَكُ
عَنْهُ
مَنْ
أُفِكَ
|
Shakir: |
He is turned away from it who would be turned away. |
Ayah: 10 |
|
Arabic: |
قُتِلَ
الْخَرَّاصُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Cursed be the liars, |
Ayah: 11 |
|
Arabic: |
الَّذِينَ
هُمْ فِي
غَمْرَةٍ
سَاهُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; |
Ayah: 12 |
|
Arabic: |
يَسْأَلُونَ
أَيَّانَ
يَوْمُ
الدِّينِ
|
Shakir: |
They ask: When is the day of judgment? |
Ayah: 13 |
|
Arabic: |
يَوْمَ
هُمْ عَلَى
النَّارِ
يُفْتَنُونَ
|
Shakir: |
(It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. |
Ayah: 14 |
|
Arabic: |
ذُوقُوا
فِتْنَتَكُمْ
هَذَا
الَّذِي
كُنتُم
بِهِ
تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. |
Ayah: 15 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّ
الْمُتَّقِينَ
فِي
جَنَّاتٍ
وَعُيُونٍ
|
Shakir: |
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. |
Ayah: 16 |
|
Arabic: |
آخِذِينَ
مَا
آتَاهُمْ
رَبُّهُمْ
إِنَّهُمْ
كَانُوا
قَبْلَ
ذَلِكَ
مُحْسِنِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. |
Ayah: 17 |
|
Arabic: |
كَانُوا
قَلِيلًا
مِّنَ
اللَّيْلِ
مَا
يَهْجَعُونَ
|
Shakir: |
They used to sleep but little in the night. |
Ayah: 18 |
|
Arabic: |
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ
هُمْ
يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And in the morning they asked forgiveness. |
Ayah: 19 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
أَمْوَالِهِمْ
حَقٌّ
لِّلسَّائِلِ
وَالْمَحْرُومِ
|
Shakir: |
And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). |
Ayah: 20 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
الْأَرْضِ
آيَاتٌ
لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
|
Shakir: |
And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, |
Ayah: 21 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
أَنفُسِكُمْ
أَفَلَا
تُبْصِرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? |
Ayah: 22 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
السَّمَاء
رِزْقُكُمْ
وَمَا
تُوعَدُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. |
Ayah: 23 |
|
Arabic: |
فَوَرَبِّ
السَّمَاء
وَالْأَرْضِ
إِنَّهُ
لَحَقٌّ
مِّثْلَ
مَا
أَنَّكُمْ
تَنطِقُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. |
Ayah: 24 |
|
Arabic: |
هَلْ
أَتَاكَ
حَدِيثُ
ضَيْفِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ
الْمُكْرَمِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? |
Ayah: 25 |
|
Arabic: |
إِذْ
دَخَلُوا
عَلَيْهِ
فَقَالُوا
سَلَامًا
قَالَ
سَلَامٌ
قَوْمٌ
مُّنكَرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. |
Ayah: 26 |
|
Arabic: |
فَرَاغَ
إِلَى
أَهْلِهِ
فَجَاء
بِعِجْلٍ
سَمِينٍ
|
Shakir: |
Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, |
Ayah: 27 |
|
Arabic: |
فَقَرَّبَهُ
إِلَيْهِمْ
قَالَ
أَلَا
تَأْكُلُونَ
|
Shakir: |
So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? |
Ayah: 28 |
|
Arabic: |
فَأَوْجَسَ
مِنْهُمْ
خِيفَةً
قَالُوا
لَا تَخَفْ
وَبَشَّرُوهُ
بِغُلَامٍ
عَلِيمٍ
|
Shakir: |
So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. |
Ayah: 29 |

Arabic: |
فَأَقْبَلَتِ
امْرَأَتُهُ
فِي
صَرَّةٍ
فَصَكَّتْ
وَجْهَهَا
وَقَالَتْ
عَجُوزٌ
عَقِيمٌ
|
Shakir: |
Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! |
Ayah: 30 |
|
Arabic: |
قَالُوا
كَذَلِكَ
قَالَ
رَبُّكِ
إِنَّهُ
هُوَ
الْحَكِيمُ
الْعَلِيمُ
|
Shakir: |
They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. |
Ayah: 31 |
|
Arabic: |
قَالَ
فَمَا
خَطْبُكُمْ
أَيُّهَا
الْمُرْسَلُونَ
|
Shakir: |
He said: What is your affair then, O messengers! |
Ayah: 32 |
|
Arabic: |
قَالُوا
إِنَّا
أُرْسِلْنَا
إِلَى
قَوْمٍ
مُّجْرِمِينَ
|
Shakir: |
They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, |
Ayah: 33 |
|
Arabic: |
لِنُرْسِلَ
عَلَيْهِمْ
حِجَارَةً
مِّن طِينٍ
|
Shakir: |
That we may send down upon them stone of clay, |
Ayah: 34 |
|
Arabic: |
مُسَوَّمَةً
عِندَ
رَبِّكَ
لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. |
Ayah: 35 |
|
Arabic: |
فَأَخْرَجْنَا
مَن كَانَ
فِيهَا
مِنَ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
|
Shakir: |
Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. |
Ayah: 36 |
|
Arabic: |
فَمَا
وَجَدْنَا
فِيهَا
غَيْرَ
بَيْتٍ
مِّنَ
الْمُسْلِمِينَ
|
Shakir: |
But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). |
Ayah: 37 |
|
Arabic: |
وَتَرَكْنَا
فِيهَا
آيَةً
لِّلَّذِينَ
يَخَافُونَ
الْعَذَابَ
الْأَلِيمَ
|
Shakir: |
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. |
Ayah: 38 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
مُوسَى
إِذْ
أَرْسَلْنَاهُ
إِلَى
فِرْعَوْنَ
بِسُلْطَانٍ
مُّبِينٍ
|
Shakir: |
And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. |
Ayah: 39 |
|
Arabic: |
فَتَوَلَّى
بِرُكْنِهِ
وَقَالَ
سَاحِرٌ
أَوْ
مَجْنُونٌ
|
Shakir: |
But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. |
Ayah: 40 |
|
Arabic: |
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ
وَجُنُودَهُ
فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ
فِي
الْيَمِّ
وَهُوَ
مُلِيمٌ
|
Shakir: |
So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. |
Ayah: 41 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
عَادٍ إِذْ
أَرْسَلْنَا
عَلَيْهِمُ
الرِّيحَ
الْعَقِيمَ
|
Shakir: |
And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. |
Ayah: 42 |
|
Arabic: |
مَا
تَذَرُ مِن
شَيْءٍ
أَتَتْ
عَلَيْهِ
إِلَّا
جَعَلَتْهُ
كَالرَّمِيمِ
|
Shakir: |
It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. |
Ayah: 43 |
|
Arabic: |
وَفِي
ثَمُودَ
إِذْ قِيلَ
لَهُمْ
تَمَتَّعُوا
حَتَّى
حِينٍ
|
Shakir: |
And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. |
Ayah: 44 |
|
Arabic: |
فَعَتَوْا
عَنْ
أَمْرِ
رَبِّهِمْ
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
الصَّاعِقَةُ
وَهُمْ
يَنظُرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
But they revolted against the commandment of their Lord, so the rumbling overtook them while they saw. |
Ayah: 45 |
|
Arabic: |
فَمَا
اسْتَطَاعُوا
مِن
قِيَامٍ
وَمَا
كَانُوا
مُنتَصِرِينَ
|
Shakir: |
So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- |
Ayah: 46 |
|
Arabic: |
وَقَوْمَ
نُوحٍ مِّن
قَبْلُ
إِنَّهُمْ
كَانُوا
قَوْمًا
فَاسِقِينَ
|
Shakir: |
And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. |
Ayah: 47 |
|
Arabic: |
وَالسَّمَاء
بَنَيْنَاهَا
بِأَيْدٍ
وَإِنَّا
لَمُوسِعُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample. |
Ayah: 48 |
|
Arabic: |
وَالْأَرْضَ
فَرَشْنَاهَا
فَنِعْمَ
الْمَاهِدُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. |
Ayah: 49 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمِن
كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
خَلَقْنَا
زَوْجَيْنِ
لَعَلَّكُمْ
تَذَكَّرُونَ
|
Shakir: |
And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. |
Ayah: 50 |
|
Arabic: |
فَفِرُّوا
إِلَى
اللَّهِ
إِنِّي
لَكُم
مِّنْهُ
نَذِيرٌ
مُّبِينٌ
|
Shakir: |
Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. |
Ayah: 51 |
|
Arabic: |
وَلَا
تَجْعَلُوا
مَعَ
اللَّهِ
إِلَهًا
آخَرَ
إِنِّي
لَكُم
مِّنْهُ
نَذِيرٌ
مُّبِينٌ
|
Shakir: |
And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. |
Ayah: 52 |
|
Arabic: |
كَذَلِكَ
مَا أَتَى
الَّذِينَ
مِن
قَبْلِهِم
مِّن
رَّسُولٍ
إِلَّا
قَالُوا
سَاحِرٌ
أَوْ
مَجْنُونٌ
|
Shakir: |
Thus there did not come to those before them a messenger but they said: A magician or a mad man. |
Ayah: 53 |
|
Arabic: |
أَتَوَاصَوْا
بِهِ بَلْ
هُمْ
قَوْمٌ
طَاغُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Have they charged each other with this? Nay! they are an inordinate people. |
Ayah: 54 |
|
Arabic: |
فَتَوَلَّ
عَنْهُمْ
فَمَا
أَنتَ
بِمَلُومٍ
|
Shakir: |
Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; |
Ayah: 55 |
|
Arabic: |
وَذَكِّرْ
فَإِنَّ
الذِّكْرَى
تَنفَعُ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
|
Shakir: |
And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. |
Ayah: 56 |
|
Arabic: |
وَمَا
خَلَقْتُ
الْجِنَّ
وَالْإِنسَ
إِلَّا
لِيَعْبُدُونِ
|
Shakir: |
And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. |
Ayah: 57 |
|
Arabic: |
مَا
أُرِيدُ
مِنْهُم
مِّن
رِّزْقٍ
وَمَا
أُرِيدُ
أَن
يُطْعِمُونِ
|
Shakir: |
I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. |
Ayah: 58 |
|
Arabic: |
إِنَّ
اللَّهَ
هُوَ
الرَّزَّاقُ
ذُو
الْقُوَّةِ
الْمَتِينُ
|
Shakir: |
Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. |
Ayah: 59 |
|
Arabic: |
فَإِنَّ
لِلَّذِينَ
ظَلَمُوا
ذَنُوبًا
مِّثْلَ
ذَنُوبِ
أَصْحَابِهِمْ
فَلَا
يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
|
Shakir: |
So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. |
Ayah: 60 |
|
Arabic: |
فَوَيْلٌ
لِّلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
مِن
يَوْمِهِمُ
الَّذِي
يُوعَدُونَ
|
Shakir: |
Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. |
